A movie starring Seth Rogen as Seth Rogen, James Franco as James Franco, Jay Baruchel as Jay Baruchel, Jonah Hill as Jonah Hill and many more actors acting as themselves, ‘This is The End’. The movie was directed by Evan Goldberg and Seth Rogen, most of the casts are Seth Rogen’s real life friends, including his best friend James Franco. The movie talks about the Biblical apocalypse, I’m no Christian but I do have a slight bit of knowledge of the Bible. Started with Seth picking up Ray from the airport to his house in Los Angeles and smoke tons of weed, Seth then invites Ray to James’ house for a party(with many other celebrities as themselves such as Rihanna and Emma Watson as themselves) which Ray did not like. Ray finally agreed to go with Seth with the condition that Seth will stick with him throughout the party.

Things started to go bad when Ray decided to go out to buy some cigarettes, which Seth went with him. When they’re in the convenience shop, the entire Los Angeles started going into a chaos, people were getting sucked up into the sky and there were fire everywhere but when Seth and Ray ran back to James Franco’s house, everything was normal and nobody felt and earthquakes. Ray described the whole incident to everybody and asked Seth to back him up but Ray acted as if Ray was delusional. Halfway through their arguments, it started quaking again and everybody went out.

Out of nowhere, a sinkhole appeared right in the middle of James Franco’s lawn and most people fell inside it, that’s where the fun started, they had to try their best to survive(both food and from monsters and demons) while trying to do good in order to go to heaven. In the end Seth and Ray managed to get into heaven while James Franco almost made it into heaven but fall back down to earth because he sweared too much. The movie ended with Backstreets Boys singing their famous ‘Everybody’.

Well, I guess the movie was rather not bad, there were funny scenes everywhere but the story was rather bad and a little too predictable, I rated it 8/10, deducting points for the bad plots. However I really love the fact that they acted as themselves in the entire movie, which is really unique.

  1. Much like Jurassic World, this load of junk was created purely to rake in the dollar.

Apparently it's OK to show the world... AGAIN... live goats waiting to be eaten, pigs going to be ripped to shreds by teams of raptors and people being torn to pieces, but when a dino dies the violins begin and the female lead trots around a dinosaur paddock in 6 inch heels and a cream suit, suitably panting and puffing, chest rising, falling, splayed on the ground, all vulnerable and waiting... I was wishing so hard that the Rex would eat her... it might have saved the entire load of nonsense.
