Hangover

Hang Over

 Directed by: Todd Phillips

Starring:
Bradley Cooper as Phil
Ed Helms as Stu
Zach Galifianakis as Alan
Justin Bartha as Doug

A baby with shades and 3 messy guys as the movie poster, The Hangover, I have absolutely no idea what the movie will be about when I first saw it. Come on, why is there a baby with 3 hungover guys? Starring Bradley Cooper as Phil, Ed Helsm as Stu, Zach Galifianakis as Alan and Justin Bartha as Doug, the movie starts with a bad news for the bride Tracy (Sasha Barrese) from Phil in the middle of the Mojave Desert, saying that things got out of control and they lost the bridegroom, Doug and it is impossible to proceed with the wedding. Then, the movie went back in time, to 2 days ago, the day before the bachelor’s party they are celebrating for Doug’s wedding.

Upon reaching Caesars Palace in Las Vegas for their bachelor’s night, they checked in into a $4200 a night suit, then went up to the roof and drink shots of Jagermeister. After cheering to a night they’ll never remember, they woke up with zero memory of what happened that night, with a messed up $4200 suit, tiger in the toilet, chicken, crying baby, a missing tooth and missing Doug.

The movies continues how they tried to find out what happened that night to trace back where they left Doug. Hint: it involves bring doctors in hospital, getting tasered by kids in a police station, surprises in a church, getting attacked by naked Asian guy (Ken Jeong as Mr Chow) in the streets of Las Vegas, getting punched by Mike Tyson in their hotel suit, bringing tiger back to Mike Tyson’s house, counting cards in casino and arguments in the middle of Mojave desert.

Almost every single line in the movie is funny, the characters weren’t that funny but the actors were able to made it so convincing and hilarious, especially my 2 favourite actors in the movie Zach Galifianakis and Ken Jeong. Jokes after jokes, scenes after scenes, every single one of them managed to made me crackle and never fail to surprise me.
The movie ended with by resuming the scene they started with, where they just cut off the call with Tracy. They finally remembered where they left Doug and went back to the roof of Caesars Palace to get him back, get him all ready for his wedding which was in a couple of hours. In the end, Doug had a happy marriage, Stu broke up with his girlfriend and it all ended with a peek at the pictures from their camera, pictures from casino, strip clubs, wedding at the church and Mike Tyson’s house. Well that’s fun and great way to end a movie, with pictures of weird screwed up things you do when you’re drunk in Vegas, great comedy, I rate it 9/10 overall, minus 1 for the disturbing images and scenes.
